Hello everybody!
It is with mixed feelings this letter is beeing written. Somehow it felt like this day never would come. We all thought that time stood still, that we would be 19 forever and be able to travel around whereever and whenever.
You who have followed us in Remission during the years now understand that it is time to put this project to an end. The half asleep homepage, the few gigs we have accepted and the not very frequent newletter have been reason for many questions
about what is happening with the band.
Now we think it is time for us to inform everyone about our decision.
We feel that we all have to much other important things in our lives that takes time away
from what we could put into Remission. This has naturally not been an east decision since
some of us have played in the band since we where 14-15 years old and that the band has
been such a central part of our lives. During the years we have sacrificed
weddings, birthdaypartys, familygatherings for our will and passion to gig. But now we feel that
this time is passed.
We have alot of memories that we always will cary with us. The large
festivals in Germany, the Faroe Islands with bands like Petra, Vera Cruz, Allstar
United, Transition, Chrushead and Michael Tait. The small and intimate gigs in churches,
cafés and similar all over Sweden. The smokefilled sweaty gigs in england... all of that
we will always remeber.
All the colaboration with other Swedish bands like Kite, Meadow, B.I.G,
Mammuth and Wonderland.
All of these shifting environments and a constant reminder that God
always have been with us and protected our path.
We will play a few more gigs, but at the end of the year we will let
Remission be in the past. We have so many people we would like to thank. People that have
helped us day and night. At first we thought about listing them all here, but that list
would go on forever so we decided to thank you all with whit this one BIG THANK YOU!!! (You
know who you are).
One man deserves a special thanks, and that is Mattias Furberg that
more or less always have stood by our side. No words can explain what you've ment for us.
We naturaly want to thank our booking/record company Dotmusic/feedback
with Frippe and Niclas Eliasson at the steeringwheel. Thank you for believing in us and
made our dreams come thru with our two recorded albums. All the times you went on the
road with us as tourmanagers.. and all the small and big stuff that made it all happen.
We have allways had great respect and trust in you.
